It is with much joy, a lot of planning and care for our congregations and groups,  and a little bit of uncertainty, that our buildings are gradually being opened up again.
This is a gradual process with some groups deciding not to regather at the moment.  Irrespective of when this occurs, all groups are being asked to complete a NSW Dept of Health COVID 19 Safety Plan which will be assessed and approved.  Precautions such as physical distancing, attendance registers and appropriate cleaning are some of the matters which such plans must address.
Outside groups such A/A, N/A, G/A and CODA have completed this paperwork and have commenced their groups.  Tai Chi has also taken the necessary steps and commenced on 3rd July.  Doreen Wilson's classes are being more cautious and a re-commencement date has not been decided upon as yet.
In relation to church groups, this diversity in regathered is evident here also.  One bible study has commenced in Tuncurry whilst two others are continuing to meet via Zoom.  Other groups are yet to decide.
Lastly worship in our Forster building will recommence on 19th July.  Our monthly service at th ePacific Palms Community Centre is commencing on Sunday 12th July at 5.00 pm.  It is interesting that some of our congregation are excited about regathering whilst others have become accustomed to the other methods which have been adopted over this time.  Physical distancing will limit the number we can have at worship at any one time and we are working through this, as well as all other COVID precautions and procedures.   Worship will be a safe place.  To this end and with great disappointment there will be no communal singing in church nor will there be morning tea.  Both items are important in our time together, however safety is our major concern and therefore we cannot partake in either of these things at the moment.
Lastly, even though are numbers are being limited, you are most welcome to come and worship on a Sunday morning at 9.00 am from 19th July onwards.  We would love to see you and we have some of our congregation who are prepared to give up their spot in worship, so that you can be with us.
