Geoff Battle

Geoff has been the pastor at Forster / Tuncurry since 2017, although he joined the congegation in 2003 when he moved from Inverell.

Geoff is married to Deborah, a nurse at Forster Private hopsital and he is step dad to Deb's three children.

Prior to becoming a pastor Geoff spent 20 years in rural branches of the Commonwealth Bank as a loans officer and 10 years as the general manager of Allan Pearse Funerals in Tuncurry.  He has been an accredited lay preacher within the Uniting Churh since 1997 and is actively involved in regional and state boards of the church.

His desire is for all people to come to the wonderful and liberating understand that the grace of God extends to them and they are seen as worthy, acceptable and loved by their creator God.

Geoff's passion is bike riding and apart from using it to stay fit and allowing him to eat too many bad foods, it has provided him to be involved in several long distance charity rides, raising money for the Westpac Rescue helicopter.  Whilst he doesn't drink coffee, Geoff is more than happy to sit with someone and yarn while they enjoy their favourite.
